Patricia Allison

Art for me is very powerful, the greatest healer in my life.

Since I was young I had a great passion and love for all things creative.

After numerous years of teaching art and ceramics to an array of age groups of children and adults including specialised disciplines such as elderly and people with special needs. I expanded further studies into Art Therapy and have developed a keen focus on Fine Art.

I take inspiration from my surroundings focusing on people, nature and wilderness. Shapes, forms, colour, movement and art deformities all release my creativity.

My favourite artists; Frida Kahlo, Picasso, Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon, Dalí and Margaret Clarke have all inspired my choice of mediums, technique and style. Which include pencil, inks, print, pastels, acrylics and watercolours after twenty years I have also rediscovered the bold colour blends of oil.

“I am the child that that is enthralled with the magic blues of the butterflies on the cow pats on my grandmothers farm. Forever learning hopefully absorbing for the rest of my life.”
